Somatic practice supports us to intentionally connect with our physical bodies, emotions, minds, spirits and how we relate to the world outside us. This work can be incredibly useful for getting to know ourselves better, shifting habitual patterns, and creating a healing path. Most of the practice in this 7-week online class series will be in stillness, sometimes sitting, sometimes lying down, sometimes standing. This class is a great followup class for those who have taken Somatic Studies. All levels of experience are welcome.
Yoga and Strength is a 60-minute combination of Yoga Asana practice and Ballet Barre style strength training. This 7-week online class series will help you access strength without strain, while caring for and celebrating your body. This class requires a familiarity with yoga or contemporary dance and moves at a relatively fast pace.
Adult Contemporary Dance class with Neva Cockrell - This 90 minute, 6-week online series will leave you feeling creative, healthy, and inspired as we head into the winter! The class is tailored to fit in a living room (6x6ish foot space).
Catalyst is a unique fusion of free movement, cardio, strength training, yoga, and breathwork. In this 7-week, 2-hour online workshop series, we will rest and sweat, feel and dance, perhaps even laugh and cry. This is Neva’s signature technique and class, developed and evolving slowly over many years. It is open to all levels of movement experience.
