Move with Niki

Three regular offerings
Facilitated by Niki

Various:
Tue/Thur/2nd Sun

Yin-Restore Yoga

(in-person or online)
6pm-7:30pm Tuesday evenings

A Yin/ Restorative practice that uses props & longer holding poses to stimulate the ‘relaxation response’. I aim to hold space for folks and guide them to play with their edge, release control and let gravity do the work. Join in-person or online. A link to the online class will be sent once you register.

$15-25 (BIPOC – pay what you can)

Rise & Shine Yoga

(in-person or online)
7:30-8:30am Thursday mornings

Rise & Shine – Kickstart your day with this class by working with your body & breath. A physical practice that focuses on strength, flexibility, breath and balance through static or linked poses, mandala flows, and challenging ‘peak pose’ flows to bring you into your bodies and onto your mats, leaving you blissfully energized and ready for your day. We will use Hatha & Vinyasa yoga to help improve internal and external stability. While some knowledge of basic yoga asanas can be helpful, it doesn’t matter where you are on your yoga journey, by attending regularly you will benefit from advancing your yoga practice and challenging yourself daily. Join in-person or online. A link to the online class will be sent once you register.

$15-25 (BIPOC – pay what you can)

Shake

(in-person only)
5.30-6.30pm Second Sundays

Group Shake – A somatic movement practice during which we will shake to music or sometimes, silence. Shaking, individually but as part of a group to ground us, can be healing as it is a natural way to relieve tension. You may choose to shake standing, seated, lying down or alternating between those depending on what your body needs in the moment. You can choose your own intensity, when to stop or when to keep going as you listen to your own body. While it is important to keep ourselves open to what, if anything, may arise emotionally, please only engage to the degree that you can still care for yourself. This is not a therapeutic space. The practice will start with a demonstration and it will end in silence. Dress comfortably and stay hydrated!

$10-$25 (BIPOC – pay what you can)

Stay for Sonic Immersion (right after) and pay $8-20 for the Shake

Who is it for?

  • Anyone looking to get more in touch with their body.

“Great class with lots of modifications offered and caring, personalised attention. Excellent postures chosen for hip opening. Really appreciated the half recline butterfly option… it’s not one I typically see, and it actually worked better for me since my two sides are so imbalanced…”

“In two instances, I felt a preemptive fleeting pang of concern about how certain shapes would work for my body, specifically my painfully tight hip flexors. But both times, each posture not only worked for me, but brought great relief! I really appreciated the individualised attention and support during the classes and I’ve been loving the variety of poses. Also, I always appreciate instructors who both request and implement feedback with skill and care…”
